Since 2013, I have been a proud member of the Black Ensemble Theater’s Black Playwright Initiative (BPI), a group of playwrights responsible for creating scripts for the stage. Several of my stage play scripts have been produced in the BPI and the Sex in the Summer Series festivals.

My play, “The Trial of Moses Fleetwood Walker”, premiered on the main stage of The Black Ensemble Theater in 2015, running for several weeks. It was the first non-musical produced by The Black Ensemble Theater in over 30 years. “Moses” received critical acclaim by Chicago’s entertainment media including the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.
